The Unusual Primer for Oily Skin

Although those with an oily skin supposedly age better than those with dry skin, it can be a huge inconvenience when it the staying power of your base.

After searching high and low for a primer that would help keep my base on all day, I finally found one but it was not in the makeup section of Boots.

Milk of Magnesia is traditionally used to help relieve indigestion, however somehow somewhere someone discovered that it could be used to help mattify the skin.

A godsend for those suffering from very oily skin.

I apply a small amount of the liquid to a cotton wool pad and swipe across the oiliest parts of the skin, which for me is my T-zone.

Once applied I leave it for a few minutes to enable it to properly set.

Almost immediately you will feel your skin becoming mattified.

There is often a white and slightly chalky residue left on the skin if you use too much - but this can be removed simply by buffing your fingers over the area.

I have found this is simply the best and quite frankly the only primer that has really been successful in keeping my skin matte for more than 2 hours.

An unusual but nevertheless useful product to incorporate into your makeup bag.
