Festival Beauty Survival Kit

Coachella is over *sob* so now we must await till the end of summer for the festival season to begin again.

Whilst I appreciate that part of the festival experience is about slumming it in a tent, this is something that I never particularly look forward to.

Here is my selection of your Festival Beauty Survival Kit so you can feel and look like you've had the luxury of a shower.

1. Lip Balm - there's nothing quite like all day outside + alcohol that = CRUSTY DRY LIPS so a lip balm is an absolute must have. My balm of choice is Nivea Essential Care, nourishing yet simple in its formula, the Nivea Lip Balm will yet your lips back on track.

2. Makeup Wipes - If there is something I cannot stand it's sleeping in makeup, never mind the fact it is awful for your skin, you will feel extra oily and dirty in the morning and so make up wipes will become your new best friend over the festival period. My favourite are the Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes, an oldie but a goodie.

3. Blotting Papers - For a matte finish look no further than to your handy pocket size Blotting Papers, an easy access to a matte and shine free complexion.

4. Hand Sanitiser - No sink? No problem! Hand Sanitiser will be that one product that will keep you sane and feeling clean.

5. Deodorant - Probably the first thing you'd think of packing in your Festival Survival Kit, because if you feel fresh you look fresh. My go-to is the Dove Invisible Dry, with a claimed 24 hour protection and white mark protection, Dove Invisible Dry will keep you feeling clean and polished all day and night.

6. Dry Shampoo - Not only does greasy hair give away the fact that you haven't washed, it also makes you feel like you haven't washed, therefore dry shampoo is essential to any Festival Survival Kit. I'm still loving the classic that is the Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo, to add a scent of summer to your locks.

7. Thermal Water Spray - And for a not too essential addition to the Survival Kit, why not pack a Thermal Water Spray? For those times you're feeling hot and bothered a quick spritz of thermal water will keep you and your makeup feeling fresh. My favourite is the Vichy Thermal Spa Water Spray which helps relieve redness and soothes sensitive skin.

So there you have it your Festival Beauty Survial Kit to keep you looking and feeling ready for your Summer Festival.

Current Dream Skin Care Routine

Spring is finally and firmly here – and in this heat, it’s all about a clear, light and hydrated base.

As a product junkie I think it's fair to say I have tried a plethora of skin care products.

I have imported products from abroad, got prescription face creams, expensive, inexperiesve natural and unnatural.

I think my worst habit is thinking that every product that sounds good/ gets good reviews therefore will work for me. It has taken me a while to really know my skin, it's type and what works for it.

I can finally say I have found a skin regime that 1) Is affordable 2) actually works and 3) I'm happy with

So here it is....

I rinse my face under some cold water and then massage 1-2 pumps of Cetaphil all over my face.

I absolutely love this product, it is simple and gentle in formula so it never leaves my skin feeling tight or overly moisturised. It also happens to have quite a celebrity following with the likes of; Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian admitting that they're avid fans.

As a light sort of exfoliation, I remove the product with a warm damp flannel and then pat my face dry.

Afterwards I apply a small amount of LA ROCHE-POSAY Serozinc toner either on a cotton pads or spritzed all over.

The mist contains a mixture of zinc sulfate, sodium chloride and spring water and when applied the skin helps refine your pores, combat shine and even reduce blemishes.

Since using this skin care routine day and night for about 4 months, there has been a drastic improvement in my skin. Blemishes come less frequently and my skins texture has also become more even.

It's taken 19 years, but I think I've finally found my Holy Grail Skin Care Routine.

What Was Life Before I Discovered Pinterest?

There are few sites that I without fail visit every single day.

A new one of these is Pinterest.

Not only is it completely addictive and relatively easy to use I actually think it is somewhat productive and creative.

I use my Pinterest for inspiration for makeup looks, accessories, hair styles but most of all fashion outfits.

When I am not sure what to wear I take a quick look at my Pinterest board and get inspired by photos I've repinned and from there interpret the style and add my own taste to it.

One of my favourite ways to use Pinterest is when I am not sure about how to wear a certain item of clothing. I will search for the item on Pinterest and get ideas from all the different outfits which include the item.

I've recently booked tickets for Bestival and I am so obsessed with my latest board 'Festival Wear' full of festival outfits everywhere from Coachella to Glastonbury.

The NAKED pallette - The Hype that was SO worth it

There are many products that I have yearned for, none so much as the cult classic that is Urban Decay's Naked Palette.

With an array of both matte and shimmer shadows this palette is surely a must have in every beauty lovin's drawer?

I think the reason I love this palette so much is due to it's diversity.

This collection of shadows could literally cover you for all events and almost any kind of look. Whether you're just getting into eyeshadow or you're a smokey eye everyday kinda girl this palette has you covered.

The Shades all have an amazing cover pay off with a rich buttery finish, especially the shimmer shades.

In my opinion the three lightest three shades (Virgin, Sin, Naked) are the perfect introductory shades if you are new to wearing eyeshadow, as you really can't go wrong with these gorgeous taupey nudes.

As the Shades go along the palette they become more and more of a commitment to wear and therefore you can slowly work your way up the palette as your confidence with shadows increases.

I got mine off eBay as I found they had the best deals!
