If like me, you too are missing Christmas fear not! There are still many places you can visit to relive those festive feelings.
My personal favourite is Covent Garden (especially in the evening).
I recently went and was blown away by the amazing atmosphere.
With live music, variety of shops and stalls - think of it as the slightly less hectic winter wonderland.
It may not be Christmas anymore but who says that means you can't still enjoy the magic of this festive season?

To tan, or not to tan: that is the question
I like many girls would be lying if I said I'd never had a fake tan disaster.
In fact I think it would be accurate to say, the majority of times I fake tan I wonder if it might have been better not to have bothered at all... I wouldn't have been so patchy and orange and my sheets wouldn't be covered in strange biscuit smelling marks.
I would include myself in the category of women who feel more confident and attractive with a tan or shall we call it 'a summer glow.'
However, when it comes down to the truth do we really look better with a faux tan? Or should we not have bothered and embrace our skin tone au naturel?
I asked 10 of my friends for their views on fake tanning and their answers were very interesting.
The 5 male (lets call them subjects) responded with the same view that they all love a girl with a bit of a tan...however if it's obvious that it's fake (the tell-tale streaks, or pale face vs dark body) don't expect compliments.
The 5 girls all agreed that at the end of the day, no matter how good you are at fake tanning, nothing beats the real thing.
General consensus: Less is more.
If you are going to fake tan, then make sure it's not too different from your real skin tone, because you're really not fooling anyone.
I don't think I will ever give up the bottle (fake tan) as there's nothing like going to bed with the complexion of someone who has never seen the sun and waking up with the glow of Gisele.
What do you think? To tan or not to tan?

Cranial Osteopathy... an alternative way to deal with stress?
image via: http://www.osteo2you.co.uk/
I recently went to see an Osteopath as an alternative option to help deal with anxiety and stress.
Firstly you may wonder- what exactly is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of treatment which analyses your posture and the functioning of your body. Osteopaths intend to restore the body to state of emotional and physical well-being and balance.
When I saw the Osteopath he began by asking me a series of questions. Some general health queries, but others were far more personal, as he wanted to gain a full understanding of my anxieties and worries.
After we had finished speaking he then began to address my body, analysing my spine, pelvis and neck.
I found it fascinating that so much can be told about a person's emotional well-being by their physical form.
He began by clicking my spine back into the correct position, because as it turned out I was out of alignment. I actually rather enjoyed it and it brought some relief to the tension in my shoulders.
Next he moved onto the Cranial work. Cranial osteopathy is a unique type of treatment, (and is often given to babies!) it helps release the stresses and tensions of the body through the manipulation of certain areas over the body, in particular the head.
My verdict?
Overall I found the experience fascinating and calming definitely worth trying out however for the whopping price of £70 it's not something I will do regularly, however I do feel it perhaps is more beneficial the more times you receive it.
Have you tried it out? Let me know

First Review - Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua
I have been a beauty obsessive for a number of years now, however being a student has meant high end purchases have been desired rather than purchased.
Nevertheless on returning from a holiday with friends I found myself with more remaining euros than I had anticipated and the wonders of duty free to roam for the hours remaining before my flight. Now onto the review.
This foundation has a light coverage with a sheer texture easy to buff into the skin.
The finish is a not dewy but also not matte. A 'real life skin texture' I might call it?
It did not cover the marks left from past blemishes, more evened out my skin tone.
I found, with powder, it is suitable for those with an oilier skin (like myself)
After about 4 hours I found I needed to top up my concealer.
Pair this foundation with a good concealer and you have a great natural looking base. Is there anyone in the blogger sphere who doesn't like this foundation??

Just another blogger?
When trying to decide what to post for my very very first blog post I decided I should perhaps tell a little about myself and what I hope this blog to be.
I am 18 years old, live in London and am currently at the start of a 3 month summer holiday.
This blog will simply be a reflection of my personality, style, interests and thoughts.
I have been umming and arrhing for a long time about whether to make a blog, as I know they are difficult to start and even harder to keep going, but this is me trying.
Thank you to anyone (if anyone) even reads this first post I hope it's the beginning of a long journey....(hence random photo of looking out a plane window)
